A-1 Modified with A1-B type external baggage door

Embarking on a major makeover to my 91 A-1. Only 1200TT and very nice in all respects. Except fabric. Fully committed to doing new fabric.
What should I be looking to do while it is apart? Have already incorporated all the superficial goodies discussed and opined here on FH.
Have extended baggage in the battery compartment. But has anyone embarked on approval , modification and installation of a side door aft of the rear seat as with the A1-B and C models? Don't have high hopes here but curious for inputs. And that includes anything else that could be improved upon.

Spud, go up one size on the battery cable to the starter, makes a difference. That is if you plan on keeping the battery in the rear original location. Im sure there are other items but that one comes to mind easily.

The door to the luggage comp fits, but a structural tube goes right across the opening. Not worth the work.
