Brake calipers and gear leg covers....

Hello folks,

It appears that the my brake calipers are binding on the metal gear leg covers. Has anybody else ran into this? I was thinking of trimming some of the metal away on the bottom. Is there something else that would get me some clearance so the calipers will float like they are suppose to?

This issue has been discussed by TomD and others in the past.

In summation:

Use a felt tip marker mark a line on the gear fairing (i.e. trace around the caliper). Remove wheel and caliper. Use sheet metal cutter to trim gear leg fairing. A nibble may come in handy for the curved areas.
