Work You Would Rather Do While the Plane is Apart

Alright Husky brain trust, our '98 A1-B is currently without wings and the elevator after a trailer trip - while we're getting some work done, what else would you recommend we take on? Any hard to get-to hardware, components, or wear-items worth replacing while it's down? About 3,500 hours TT.

Thanks,
Ken

If they haven't already been changed out you might want to replace all the control cables.

Put the paralell stripes in the fuel indicator channel
Manufacture an isert for the lower fuel indicator hose fitting that has max a 1mm bure. it functioned as a dampener and gives you rocksteady fuel indications

#insert ropes into the wings, where the flaps are connected. You need those ,once the wings are on, to pull the flap cables through

Manufacture 4 plugs about 1.5 inch long from Delrin that fit into the tubes where the stabilizer is mounted. Drive them into the tubes so the hole for the AN4 bolts in in the middle of the plug. Redrill holes through the plug.

With the plus you may later tighten the A4 bolt without squeezing the stab and the tubes. With a properly torqued bolt, the holes will never elongate from vibration.
