MLG: model B vs C differences

2007 A-1B: Previous owner slightly bent left MLG cabane from running skis so I located a set of near new A-1C MLG that I would like to replace my original MLG. Other than the small "tube bracket" for shocks, can anybody CONFIRM that these two gear are identical. I'm pretty certain Aviat factory will tell me they are different part numbers- which they are. We compared the two sets of gear (haven't removed A-1B yet) and I think I can easily cut off A-1C shock bracket, touch up paint and reuse A-1C as a direct replacement. Price is right.

Gears will fit. But if you run skis I strongly recommend to install the SUPER SGS kit. Even if you do not run skis, otherwise the cabane srut may bent on the rebound on a bad landing.

They’ll fit fine, however the brackets for the gear doors are a bit wider apart. So you’ll have to make new gear door panels and fit them to the new gear.
