A Cessna177 recently crashed in Austria on takeoff due to an unlocked Primer.
Be sure to lock the Primer, because in the unlocked and slightly pulled position it allows Cyl 1-.2 an4 to be fed by suction fuel through the primer lines. Power will be much less than rated power, due to super rich mixture. On idle, in this condition the engine will not stop.
