All of the 2011 RAF Founder Caps have been reserved, but some of those reservations have not yet been confirmed. One of those unconfirmed has just been released, #82. If any of you would like to have it, let me know. I’m putting this on the Husky List first.

There are 125 caps this year and the winning cap number will be drawn at the Montana Aviation Conference on March 5th and will win a Garmin Aera 560 GPS. The minimum donation for the cap is $100.00.

First reply gets it.

Thanks for your support.

It sure was, Jerry. And it is a fabulous piece of equipment. I can highly recommend it. The Garmin 696 is excellent. One thing about the RAF Hat program, you are a winner whether your hat is selected or not.
Keep up the good work. Jack;)

My cap came in today's mail. The new, improved color will disappoint the "spit & whittle club" at the hanger. The pink one gave them a lot of milage.

Thanks, Jerry, for what you guys do for us.

Regards, Gardner

Gardner - Glad you like this year's cap. But like you said, the "pink ones" sure gave us a lot of mileage!

Thank you and all the other Founder Cap Donors for you continued support.

Sorry about that Scott. I'll pass that on to the office so that they can consider a cap with more adjustment for next year.

Happens often. It's not the adjustment, it's the overall size of the cap. The overall size is just too small and fits more like a beanie than a cap.

From this morning’s AOPA ePilot:

AOPA Now: The Recreational Aviation Foundation
AOPA President Craig Fuller is enthusiastic about the Recreational Aviation Foundation’s work to preserve backcountry airstrips. In a recent blog entry, he shared a new video the RAF has produced about its efforts. “We knew that saving these special places was important, so we concluded we had better get about that task,” said RAF President John McKenna. The RAF has been nominated by the LightSpeed Aviation Foundation to be a finalist for possibly receiving a $10,000 grant. To get the grant, the RAF has to be in the top five in terms of votes received from the public.

Please go to the RAF website Home page at http://www.theraf.org to cast your vote. Just scroll down a couple of articles about events at Sun N Fun to the LightSpeed Aviation Foundation article and click on Vote. Or if you are in a hurry, just click here

http://www.lightspeedaviationfoundation.org/content.cfm/Finalists/Your-Vote-Counts

and then click on the button before Recreational Aviation Foundation.

Thanks for your support.
