The rim shown in the second pic needs to be enlarged by 2mm in radius. The red area needs to be sealed by an extra plate. Then swith the scat hoses on the shroud outlet. LH one goes to carb heat, RH one to cabin heat. The best solution is to route both to cabin heat and take carb heat from the #4 raiser tube.

I understand what you are describing except the part about the carb heat.
How can you get carb heat from the #4 riser? And do you “Y” the two scat hoses together to cabin heater box or modify the heater box with a second inlet?

Plug the outlet on the heatmuff un the LH side. Fresh air is blown in on the LH front side. To get warm it needs to travel across to the RH rear side, then to the cabin.
