Thinking about a hand held radio, the price of Sporty's SP-400 has been reduced. Any recomendations?

I can really reccomend the yaesu airband. I've carried one in my flight bag and at home for at least 8 years. No issues with it.

Just getting my tool kit sorted
Any need for a jack to change a main wheel tube ? Or just a strap to pull the other wing down?
Regards

Good strap with tiedowns and two telescopic tubes with holes and a pin. Put them under the gear for a wheelchange, to unload the strap

On filling brake cylinder, don't need a needle or to remove the screw. Just turn the brake reservoir counter clockwise until loose, then slide down the shaft exposing the entire open top. Fill up, pull back up and retighten. less messy too.
