Battery relocate

For those that have relocated your battery to the firewall, can you share some pictures and notes of the new location? My mech and I are having some troubles finding a good location amongst the bracing tubes.

Thanks,
MPH

This is what my mechanic approved of.

For some reason all the pics turned sideways. My friend that also did it put both solenoids together inside as he didn’t have the filter in the way.

My location is similar. Photos are located somewhere in another post along with 337.

The TSO’s version is 15.6 aH. About the same as the Odyssey, and less than the Concord AGM.

This is the same battery I use on the inside of my firewall. Turns over the motor so fast that I probably could classify my Husky as an electric powered plane.

I have the battery under the front floorboard. No Pic, the floorboard is on top. Sure would be interesting to see the side installation.

There’s a Husky at the booth here at SNF with a battery on the inside of the firewall. I can get pics if anyone needs them.
Yes Dave, please do! Ask if that is the way the new airplanes are going to be delivered. Ask if there is a way we can retrofit our airplanes somehow with their data. What battery is installed? Thanks

Kurt

Cranking is one consideration. Weight too, of course. Energy reserve in case of a stubborn start, longevity, and cold weather performance are also high on my priority list. Seems like there are trade offs like most things in life :).

We had a lot of rain here today. Will try to get over to the booth tomorrow.

Pretty sure this is a members airplane. I think I recall the thread on here about it. 337 install. Steve said they can do it at the factory if requested but they haven’t had many. He’s hopeful the earth x battery is done by the end of the year and they may start doing more then. CC512097-31E1-4AA9-BA99-662945120E7C.jpeg CCAA665F-A394-4497-9840-82B49054F1D6.jpeg
