I tried many of the items in the old thread, may have even contributed some. Thomas this is the best solution I've seen. I now use a hoist in the hanger and the lifting eyes. My mechanic pulled off the top engine Cowell and used an engine hoist, hooked to the engine mounts.

Couple of pieces of pipe. Contour the ends. Glue in some thin rubber for cushioning.

Yes. I started this thread many years ago. I tried a few of these options. I still have the jack I used early on, but I haven’t used it in years. Installed lifting eyes and an electric hoist with a spreader bar. Best solution by far (IMO) if you have the room and authorization (or own your own hangar).
